A sled ride is always fun - with your friends, your significant other, or the whole family. As soon as you're sitting on the sled, breathe in the winter air and start careening down the snow-covered mountain, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time.

The Kranzberg sled run
In addition to the numerous little slopes where you can ride your sled down to the valley, there are also official sled runs. The sled run in Kranzberg is highly recommended. The Kranzberg chairlift will take you and your sled up to the starting point of the 1.6 km (1 mi.) long sled run. Sleds can be rented from the bottom chairlift station.
If you prefer more exercise, you can hike up the to the starting point (225 m/738 ft. of elevation difference). You should allow about an hour for the hike up. Before going back down, you can take a break in the Berggasthaus St. Anton lodge.
A winter hike up - and back down on the sled
The well-maintained winter hiking trail heads to the left at the bottom chairlift station toward St. Anton/Hoher Kranzberg/Korbinianhütte. Here you can follow the trail to the Kranzberg chairlift mountain station and the start of the sled run.
