The head of the trail is at the parking lot at the bridge across the Isar river in Krün. Walk across the bridge and turn right, first onto trail no. 300 and then trail no. 302, to the Isarstausee reservoir. Then follow trail no. 310 around the lake and eventually turn right to return to Krün. It takes about one hour to round the Isarstausee on this scenic circular trail of about 4 km (2.5 mi.).
